What is Project Lumyn?
Lumyn is a robotics, autonomy, and AI organization built around one idea: Intelligence in Motion. We bring together students who want to work on real autonomy problems like how robots perceive the world, make decisions, and coordinate with each other, while building a culture that’s ambitious, disciplined, and deeply hands on.
Our subteams focus on different parts of that mission. SkySync develops swarm coordination and multi robot behaviors, from formation flight to decentralized teamwork. EchoNav builds perception and navigation, including mapping, localization, and obstacle aware autonomy. AutoDock focuses on precision docking and repeatable recovery workflows that enable persistent operations. AirFrameX designs the air platform itself, creating mission driven electric UAV concepts and the engineering foundation needed to make autonomy practical in the real world.

Storm Drones
Project Overview:
- Develop autonomous drone swarms for runway detection & beyond
- Enhance multi-drone coordination with AI-driven autonomy
- Expand applications: infrastructure inspection, search & rescue
How We’ll Achieve It:
- Transition to real-world drone deployment
- Train AI Using ML for autonomous perception & decision-making
- Develop a multi-drone simulation in AirSim/Gazebo
- Optimize swarm communication & coordination
